{"id":3492,"date":"2020-11-26T14:23:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-26T14:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iqe.es\/activities-of-the-iqe-chair\/"},"modified":"2024-01-23T08:15:36","modified_gmt":"2024-01-23T08:15:36","slug":"activities-of-the-iqe-chair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iqe.es\/en\/activities-of-the-iqe-chair\/","title":{"rendered":"Activities of the IQE Chair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The IQE Chair is based at the Sciences School of the University of Zaragoza and its activity focuses on promoting research, dissemination and social projection of Science; promoting the application of technologies to the welfare of society, and whatever other activities are considered of mutual interest.<\/p>\n\n<p>Recently, the IQE Chair has presented the 2019 Activity Report, among which different dissemination activities are detailed:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The edition of numbers 23 and 24 of the magazine conCIENCIAS.digital published by the Sciences School.<\/strong> A magazine that has a 13-year history and has been awarded the Special Jury Prize of the prestigious \u201cCiencia en acci\u00f3n\u201d Program, in the 2015 edition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Crystallization contest in the school in which 50 educational centers from all over Aragon have participated, thus involving more than 1.400 secondary school students.<\/strong> The IQE Chair was one of the funding entities that allowed the development of this contest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cycle of scientific dissemination conferences &#8220;Encuentros con la ciencia&#8221; in the Cultural Field of &#8220;El Corte Ingl\u00e9s&#8221;. <\/strong>The IQE Chair collaborated in the organization of this cycle of conferences together with the following organizations: General Military Academy, Royal Spanish Physics Society in Aragon, Professional College of Physicists of Aragon, Official College of Chemists of Aragon and Navarra and MUY Interesante magazine. V edition of the \u201cSciences School Short Stories Contest.\u201d The IQE chair financed the prizes awarded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>XXII &#8220;San Alberto Magno&#8221; Photography Contest. <\/strong>The theme of the contest was about images related to scientific activity as well as the artistic vision of science.
